What is Faith Formation?

FIDES Family Faith Formation refers to the process offered to families with children from Kindergarten through High School,  including those seeking Baptism, First Holy Communion, or Confirmation. The word "fides" means "faith" in Latin!

If you were previously enrolled in Religious Education, we strongly recommend you visit the
FIDES Program Overview to learn more about this new way of growing in faith before registering. It is intentionally different from the previous Religious Education and we want you to understand what you're registering your family for!

Parents are expected to participate on both 1st and 3rd Wednesdays!

Adult classes are in Spanish and English.  Every child (who is new) receives a Catholic Children's Bible and will need it for classes. Parents can purchase a family Bible, or bring their own Bible on class nights.

FIDES means FAITH
A Faith Formation Journey for the
whole family...
God’s greatest desire for each of us is
that we live in relationship to Him. All
relationships take time and desire to
build and to grow.
Our relationship with God – our
journey of faith – takes a lifetime.
It is never complete.

Who Should Participate in Faith Formation?

As Catholics, we believe that learning, growing, and living the faith is a life-long process... it doesn't end in high school or once you reach a certain age!

At St. Patrick's, we welcome people of all ages to participate in the wonderful process of growing in faith.
